Touch Rugby Field

Touch Rugby is one of New Zealands fastest growing sports. Touch Rugby is played with an oval ball that is carried to the opponent’s end of the field to score.

Pitch Measurement: 70M (76.55yds) in Length by 50M (54.68yds) in width maximum. For adult games the dimensions should be as near maximum as possible.

Minimum permissible dimensions should be laid down in the rules of the competition in which a match is played.

Broken Line: The Broken lines shown in the diagram consist of marks or dots not more than 2M (2.19yds) apart. 5M (5.46yds) out from the touchdown line at each end & 1OM (10.93yds) on either side of the halfway line.

Dead Ball Line: 5M (5.46yds) minimum to 10M (10.93yds) Maximum behind the touchdown line on either end of the field.

Line Width: 5cm (1.97in) wide

Colour: Typically white
